Rules and Information

Pics 4 Prizes is a sponsored event by Record Power Ltd. Record Power has a long and impressive history. Established in Sheffield, the heart of the UK's steel industry, and stretching back over 100 years, we enjoy an enviable reputation for creating high quality tools through our many years of experience and unparalleled knowledge in manufacturing and design. We welcome all entrants to the 2018 Pics 4 Prizes competition, from the 48 adjoining contiguous United States of America. There is no entry fee.

Your Project Pics

Projects must be completed by the entrant on a Record Power SC3 or SC4 Chuck, using Record Power Jaws. Project must have been created between May 2017 and February 2019 Applicants should disclose if they have used manufactured parts or if they have involved any other persons or companies in their process.

How to Enter

Please send us digital pictures of your competition entry via email to pics4prizes@recordpower.co.uk and tell us about you and your project. One picture must show the work being turned on the Record Power Chuck and Jaws. A second picture should show your finished project.
(Although not compulsory, we would like to see you with your work and our packaging for promotional purposes…..please see advertising for ideas).

Individuals Category

Junior Section

12 years of age and under.

Teens Section

13-19 years of age.


Turning less than 12 months.


Turning 12 months and beyond.

Open Section

Five (5) winners will be selected to receive the advertised prize packages in the ‘Individuals Category’ by our selected judges.

Club Masters Category

In addition to the FIVE Individual Winners, an additional THREE prize packages will be up for grabs for club rooms. Enter your Club Masterpiece that has been turned on a Record Power chuck, or nominate your club with your Individual entry to be in to win the Record Power ‘Club Master Prize Package’ Each of the three Club Master winners must agree that the Club Master package will remain in the clubrooms for communal use by all club members. Each entrant may submit digital pictures for a maximum of two (2) projects. There is a limit of one (1) prize package per entrant in the ‘Individual category’. However, one entrant may enter the ‘Individual Prize Category’ AND the ‘Club Masters Category’ with the same project in each, and win prizes for both. Entries must be received by February 28th, 2019.

The Judging Process

1. Judges will receive online submissions consisting of images, project details and the entrants chosen category.
NOTE: The judging criteria and emphasis may vary for each of the categories. The judges decisions concerning all matters related to this competition will be final.
No responsibility is assumed for late or misdirected entries or prize acceptance responses.
No cash substitution, transfer, or assignment of prizes will be allowed, except by Record Power, which reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. The prize package includes the cost of delivery to a nominated address within North America. The winner may be requested to pay other costs and taxes, other than those specifically identified in the prize description.
Each winner will be selected on or around March 4th, 2019 and notified by e-mail and phone. If the attempted notification is returned as undeliverable or uncontactable, or if a potential winner cannot be verified, or if a potential winner is otherwise unable or unwilling to accept the prize, then the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner provided sufficient time remains, in Record Powers discretion.
All entrants and winners grant Record Power the right to use their name, photograph, likeness, and biographical information in advertising and promotion without compensation or permission except where prohibited by law. Winners release Record Power from any liability arising out of participation in this competition or the acceptance, use or misuse of a prize.
The competition is limited to the 48 adjoining contiguous United States of America (excluding Hawaii, Alaska, Canada and Mexico).
